Who we are

MIDL is the trading name of Kelvin Cheung, based in the United Kingdom. Kelvin is responsible for the information below (the "controller" under UK data protection law). To contact him about your data, email [email protected].

What this covers

The REMIT Readiness Check at midl.solutions/remit-readiness-check, and the emails we send from [email protected].

What we collect

  • If you only use the check: nothing. Your answers stay in your browser and are not sent to us.
  • If you ask for your plan as a PDF: your email address, your answers to the check, the results they produce, the date, and whether you ticked the box to receive updates.
  • When you visit any page: our web server keeps standard access logs (your IP address, the pages you requested, and your browser type) for security and to fix problems.

Why we use it

  • To send you the PDF you asked for. This is the reason you gave us your email.
  • To reply if you get in touch. Kelvin sees your request and the headline results, so he can answer questions about your plan.
  • To follow up on your plan, and to compare your results if you take the check again.
  • To send you occasional REMIT updates, only if you ticked that box. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying "unsubscribe" to any email.

We rely on your request for the PDF, on our legitimate interest in following up with a business that asked for a plan, and on your consent for updates. We never sell your information or share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Who else handles it

  • Zoho sends and stores our email, in its EU data centre.
  • Cloudflare delivers this website and sees the traffic passing through it.

Your answers and email address are stored on our own server in the United Kingdom.

How long we keep it

  • Your email address, answers and results: for as long as we're in touch, then deleted two years after we last hear from you, whether that's a plan you asked for or an email.
  • If you opted into updates: until you unsubscribe.
  • Web server logs: about two weeks.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop us using it. Email [email protected] and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
